Indian Union Muslim League came in to being on 10 th March 1948 at a national Muslim leaders convention at Rajaji Hall Chennai. Quaide Millath Mohamed Ismail Sahib and K.T.M Ahamed Ibrahim were the first President and General Secretary respectively. Having a political party for Muslims and other weaker sections with the nomenclature of Muslim League was very risky at that time. And the leaders like Ismail Sahib and K.M. Seethi Sahib from Kerala took every pain to organise the party braving heavy odds.
